Annual Report Printing and Design is a Great Way to Demonstrate Commitment to Sustainability
As we approach the annual report printing season, many of our clients in corporate communication are asking how they can effectively demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. One way to do this is by focusing on annual report printing and design. We have given them these five suggestions:
- Use an FSC certified printer. This certification assures that the papers being used in the printing of your Annual Report come from sustainable forestry practices. This is important to the wildlife in the forest, as well as, the environment.
- Showcase the ink selection. Most inks are non-petroleum based inks. Design production notes on the front cover or back cover of your Annual Report that highlights this fact.
- Reduce the page count of your Annual Report. By reducing the weight, you save on the cost and have less waste to recycle.
- Recycle read Annual Reports. Create a collection bin in your various locations and collect read reports and have them recycled. Make sure you weigh the waste. This is a great piece of information for your Corporate Social Responsibility Report.
- Saddle Stitch your Annual Report. By stitching your report you are avoiding the use of toxic glues used in some perfect binding methods.
