Pennsauken, NJ (October 2008)

CRW Graphics, a green printing company, won several awards in 2008 for its community outreach efforts.

On May 7th, the company was awarded the 2008 Philadelphia Cares Day "Gold Team STAR Award" winner for companies with fewer than 100 employees. CRW employees and their families participated in Philadelphia citywide clean-up of its schools. Spearheaded by Cindy Wollman, VP Development, CRW's team spent the day at William Penn High School in North Philadelphia, cleaning and painting bathrooms and landscaping the school grounds.

On April 30, 2008, CRW Graphics was recognized as a finalist for the In-Kind Donor Award in the Small Company category. The award was presented at the Corporate Philanthropy Summit sponsored by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Over 1000 companies were surveyed resulting in 67 honorees. A total of $57 million was donated, with $12.7 million given as in-kind gifts. Ranking 38th among all the honorees, CRW gave a total of $217,000. Of that, $52,000 was in cash contributions and $165,000 consisted of in-kind gifts.

This fall, at the Philadelphia Business Journal's South Jersey Corporate Philanthropy Summit, CRW Graphics was honored as one of the largest corporate charitable contributors in South Jersey. CRW ranked fourth after Commerce [TD] Bank, Campbell Soup and Susquehanna Bank. The printing company made local cash and in-kind contributions totaling $217,000.

CRW Graphic's philanthropic efforts are focused on education, community development and arts and culture - areas where CRW has helped create opportunities for residents of the Delaware Valley since the company's founding 15 years ago. Recipients of these donations include early learning programs, universities, theater companies, museums, and community outreach programs like United Way and Big Brother Big Sister. The goal of CRW's efforts is to strengthen the local community as well as to help prepare the workforce of tomorrow, an important asset to the New Jersey-based company.

"One of our core values at CRW Graphics is to be a citizen of the community in which we operate," says Harriet Weiss, CEO. "We seek to play an active role in promoting the quality of life in the Delaware Valley."

CRW Graphics is an award-winning commercial printer for many Fortune 500 companies, graphic designers, advertising agencies, colleges and universities, trade associations and others who demand impeccable quality and service. CRW Graphics is one of the largest commercial sheet-fed printers in the Delaware Valley, employing 100 people in its 47,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
