Pennsauken, NJ (March 2010) - In the aftermath of the tragic earthquake that devastated Haiti in January, New Jersey printing company, CRW Graphics, contacted the United Nations to ask if there was anything we could do to help in the relief effort. As the only printer who volunteered services to the UN, we donated the printing of 50,000 "Haiti remembrance" postcards, commemorating the massive earthquake that occurred on January 12th.

In response to our efforts, Eric Falt, Director of the UN's Outreach Division wrote, "I am writing to extend my heartfelt thanks to CRW Graphics for generously donating its services .This disaster was a tragedy for the people of Haiti, but also a traumatic event for the United Nations family itself, as over 100 UN staff and peacekeeping personnel were killed."

"The postcards offered an outlet for people in the UN to express their grief, but also to send a signal of solidarity and hope. The cards were distributed to staff in New York and around the world, encouraging them to send a greeting expressing support to colleagues continuing the important work in Haiti, or to friends and family in all corners of the globe to keep the memory of Haiti alive."
