Pennsuaken, NJ (February 2008 ) — CRW Graphics, through its software
development sister company, ColorQuick, LLC, received its fourth US patent
relating to web-to-print workflow technology. The patent specifically deals with
manipulating the display of a printing project in a web browser to accurately collect
non-printing information. This makes it easy for a web-based user to specify where
to drill, score or fold a printed document.
The new patent allows clients to add features such as holes, scores and
perforations to their printing projects using visual positioning in their browsers. “The idea is to empower the customer by giving them tools to communicate
their needs in an intuitive way,” says Mark Weiss, President of CRW Graphics. The
newly patented process adds to the variety of the work that can be printed using
Workstream, CRW’s online workfl ow, while keeping the user experience both fast
and easy.
